Buzz is building around the potential addition of Won Ji-An to the ensemble cast of Netflix’s blockbuster series … Squid Game, for its eagerly awaited second season. While neither Netflix nor Won Ji-An’s representatives have officially confirmed her involvement, the rumour mill is in overdrive.
Just yesterday, reports surfaced suggesting actress Kim Si-Eun could also be stepping into a leading role for the upcoming season. Won Ji-An is already a familiar face to Netflix subscribers, having made her mark in the debut season of the military drama, D.P.
Her career trajectory has been on the rise, with notable roles in the 2022 KBS drama If You Wish Upon Me, and as the leading lady in the romantic comedy Heartbeat.
The sophomore season of Squid Game is set to welcome back its original stars, including Lee Jung-Jae, Lee Byung-Hun, Wi Ha-Joon, and Gong Yoo, all of whom will reprise their iconic roles. The new season’s confirmed lineup also boasts names like ZE:A’s Im Si-Wan, Kang Ha-Neul, Park Sung-Hoon, and Yang Dong-Geun.
As the casting news continues to unfold, anticipation for Squid Game’s next chapter is reaching fever pitch. Stay tuned for official announcements.
