Yoona, the leading actress in the Netflix K-drama series King the Land, has officially denied dating rumours involving her co-star Junho. The clarification came via a statement disseminated to Newsen by her management team at SM Entertainment. Yoona emphasized, “Junho and I share a close friendship, but we’re not romantically involved.”
In a parallel move, Junho’s agency, JYP Entertainment, also issued a statement to put the rumours to rest. They confirmed, “Upon investigation, we found that the dating speculations are baseless. They are close friends.”
Both talent agencies had previously indicated that they would be investigating the rumours that had been swirling around the duo.
Earlier in the day, media outlet The Proof had published a report suggesting that Yoona and Junho had been in a secret relationship. This is before their casting in the popular romantic drama, King the Land.
The fan community had mixed reactions to the official statements. While some expressed disappointment on Twitter that their favourite on-screen couple isn’t an item in real life. However, they remain steadfast in their support for the series and its stars.
