BLACKPINK’s leaked Hanoi concert setlist surprises fans

Blinks worldwide are puzzled by BLACKPINK’s Vietnam concert setlist, which includes only 13 songs.

The concert, which is part of the group’s BORN PINK world tour, is set to take place at Hanoi’s My Dinh National Stadium from July 29-30, 2023, and is expected to attract over 40,000 fans from around the region.

However, yesterday the official setlist for the concert was posted on the official Vietnamese government Facebook page … Showing the group were only slated to perform 13 songs. The photos were deleted shortly after, but not before Blinks had downloaded and shared them.

Among the songs on the list are the group’s mega-hit DDU-DU DDU-DU and songs from the Born Pink album like Shut Down and Typa Girl.

However, Blinks Online immediately began voicing their concerns over the number of songs. They pointed out that a number of the group’s biggest hits were missing, including the tour’s title theme, Pink Venom.

Others also pointed out that with so few songs, fans attending the Hanoi performance might feel shortchanged. Especially considering the high ticket prices of around 10 million Vietnamese dong, or around US$421 each.

Many speculated that the reason for the choice of songs could be due to concert organizers having to adhere to the government’s rules for performing artists, especially considering the more conservative culture in Vietnam.

There has been an update to the story above:

YG Entertainment clarifies BLACKPINK’s Hanoi setlist

YG Entertainment has come out to clarify rumours regarding BLACKPINK’s setlist for the group’s upcoming BORN PINK concert in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Earlier today, fans had expressed their surprise over the group’s leaked setlist for the concert, which implied that they would only be performing a total of 13 songs.

However, YG Entertainment has released a statement debunking the rumours.

According to a report by Soompi, the statement from YG read: “The set list for BLACKPINK’s Vietnam concerts that is being circulated online is not true. The concerts will proceed in the same format as the existing tour.”

This news will come as a relief for Blinks planning to attend the concert in Hanoi. There had been fears that they might feel shortchanged by the shorter setlist. Concert tickets are priced at around 10 million Vietnamese dong, or around US$421 each.

They can now look forward to enjoying the full BORN PINK concert experience. Featuring performances of over 20 songs, including most of BLACKPINK’s biggest hits.
