Netflix has released new character posters for the upcoming second season of D.P, one of the streamer’s most anticipated returning series.
The series revolves around a team of Korean military police tasked with tracking down deserters. Critics and viewers praised the first season for tackling heavy issues such as bullying and toxic masculinity in the military.
The character posters give audiences a better look at stars Jung Hae-In and Koo Kyo-Hwan. They play the lead characters Private Ahn Joon-Ho and Corporal Han Ho-Yeol respectively. The two will be continuing their mission to capture runaway soldiers in the new season.
There are also character posters of returning characters in D.P.2 Sergeant Park Beom-Gu and Captain Im Ji-Sup, who played pivotal roles during the first season’s investigations. Kim Sung-Kyun and Son Suk-Ku reprise their roles for the new season, and are also expected to play important parts during the new storylines.
The show also debuted two fresh characters: Brigadier-General Gu Ja-Woon, portrayed by Ji Jin-Hee, and Lieutenant Colonel Seo Eun, played by Kim Ji-Hyun. These new characters will intensify the drama by supervising the investigations that Joon-Ho and Ho-Yeol lead.
Netflix will premiere D.P.2 on July 28, 2023.
