“I packed my meals every day to stay in shape. I strived hard to stay in shape while eating only the meals that I packed for myself all day.”
He also engaged in intense strength training, focusing on exercises that target different muscle groups each day to look convincing for his role.
During an interview, he said, “I gained about 10kg (of muscle mass). I think the viewers will be able to see the changes in my body throughout the series.”

SOONG JOONG-KI
Fans of Korean Entertainment will no doubt have heard about actor Soong Joong-Ki.
In 2010, his role in the historical drama Sungkyunkwan Scandal catapulted his acting career into the spotlight.
However, it was his portrayal of Captain Yoo Si-jin in Descendants of the Sun that made him a household name. He became one of the most popular Korean actors among international fans.
This role solidified his lead actor status in the Korean entertainment industry and garnered him a global fanbase.
His shirtless scenes in Descendants of the Sun are still very much talked about today.
