K-pop girl group OH MY GIRL have taken home their first trophy for their latest comeback hit song Summer Comes.
The song took home the award at SBS MTV’s weekly The Show program on Aug 1, beating out other nominees like MIRAE’s Jump! and HORI7ON’s Six7een.
The girls appeared thrilled by the win, which is also the first for Summer Comes. The track is the title song off OH MY GIRL’s ninth mini-album Golden Hourglass.
OH MY GIRL also released a message on Twitter thanking fans for their support, writing: “Summer was accepted, now The Show is accepted too. 1st place! Thanks to Miracle [fandom name] for the precious 1st place! Our creed is love oh my my my!” (translated)
The group OH MY GIRL initially debuted as an eight-member ensemble on April 20, 2015, with a self-titled extended play. Now, the group features six members: Hyojung, Mimi, YooA, Seunghee, Yubin, and Arin. JinE departed from the group in October 2017 for health reasons, and Jiho exited in May 2022.
They also shared several other images of themselves posing during their appearance on The Show:
