K-drama actor Lee Do-Hyun has been revealed to be set to begin his mandatory military enlistment on Aug 14, 2023.
The news was confirmed today by his agency Yuehua Entertainment. The agency also stated that Lee Do-Hyun is scheduled to serve in the Air Force Military Band.
It also added that the enlistment is “a private event with a large number of soldiers and their families”, and urged fans to refrain from attending.
The news comes as Lee Do-Hyun is on a career high with critically-acclaimed performances in the recent K-dramas The Glory and The Good Bad Mother.
In April 2023, the 28-year-old was also revealed to be dating his The Glory co-star Lim Ji-Yeon.
Fans in Korea will have one last chance to see Lee Do-Hyun before his enlistment. The actor is scheduled to hold a fan meeting in Seoul on Aug 5, which will also be streamed online.
We wish Lee Do-Hyun all the best in the future, and look forward to seeing him again once he completes his service.
