NEWJEANS made their international debut in front of a packed crowd at Lollapalooza in Chicago, becoming the first K-pop group to perform at the event.
Videos of NEWJEANS’ performance immediately went viral online, showing the crowd cheering and dancing along excitedly to their biggest hits such as Attention, Hype Boy and their recent comeback Super Shy.
Hanni, Minji, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein were clearly excited to be the first female K-pop group to perform at Lollapalooza and they didn’t let their fans down with a 12-song setlist that included the debut live performance of Get Up and ASAP.
Fans attending the event were also seen visiting Bunnyland, a special space set up for the group at Lollapalooza through a partnership with Spotify. There were several concert exclusives for fans including beaded bracelets, cupsleeves and sticker tattoos.
Fans tuned in to watch NEWJEANS’ performance online as well. The group’s livestream on WeVerse reportedly reached 137,000 viewers, while their YouTube livestream was seen by 88,000 people.
The girls appeared relaxed and in their element onstage, and delivered a thrilling performance for fans who had travelled from all over to watch them at Lollapalooza.
