Jungkook breaks Spotify record with 30 million streams

BTS member Jungkook has become the first ever K-pop solo artist to break 30 million monthly listeners on Spotify.

At the time of writing, he has a recorded count of 32,221,852 monthly listeners. This makes him the third most listened to K-pop artist on Spotify. At the top is his group BTS (which has 37,054,605 monthly listeners) and FIFTY FIFTY (32,133,233 monthly listeners).

This latest success comes just two weeks after his first solo single Seven debuted at number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, Billboard Global 200, and on Global Excl. US charts.

Seven also holds the Guinness World Record for the most streamed song by a male artist in a week on Spotify history with 89.7 million streams. The previous record holder was As It Was by singer Harry Styles, which had 78.4 million streams.

Jungkook had been continuing the global momentum for Seven, even making a special appearance at BTS groupmate SUGA’s concert in Seoul yesterday to perform the track.
