BLACKPINK members have marked their 7th anniversary together as a group by sharing heartfelt messages and images of themselves taken over the years.
The group officially debuted on Aug 8, 2017, and BLACKPINK’s official social media celebrated the date with a special pink logo, along with the hashtags #BLACKPINK7thANNIVERSARY and #7YEARSWITHBLINKS, sharing the moment with fans.
The girls themselves also marked the occasion on their individual Instagram accounts. Here is a rundown of the messages shared by Jisoo, Lisa, Jennie and Rosé:
1. Jisoo
Jisoo, who recently confirmed she was dating actor Ahn Bo-Hyun, kept her message simple, writing: “Blink black pink forever” along with two black and red heart emojis. She shared an image of a series of instant photobooth shots showing her and her fellow BLACKPINK members making cute faces for the camera.
2. Lisa
Lisa shared several photos showing how close the group members were, with the caption: “Happy 7th anniversary to me and my 3 amazing girls … 7 is one of my favorite numbers and I hope this year will be a lucky one for us. Love you girls and blinks so so much.” Her message received a comment from Rosé’s alt account: “Happy 7th anniversary Blackpink N BLINK!”
3. Jennie
Jennie’s message was: “7 Years with [BLACKPINK]. I love us I love Blackpink I love Blinks”, along with a white heart emoji. She took fans on a trip down memory lane, with several throwback shots of BLACKPINK from the start of their career. The photos showed how far the group has come since their debut, especially in how their concept and fashion sense has evolved.
4. Rosé
Rosé’s message was the longest, as she thanked her group mates, Blinks, and executives at YG Entertainment. She wrote: “Thank you, Blackpink for being such a blessing in my life. I have really been able to experience everything and more than what I have ever dreamed of growing up as an aspiring artist. Thank you, thank you and thank you a thousand times.”
She also shared several photos of the group members as children, along with a sweet black-and-white image of them all hugging, with a white heart above them.
