The final lineup of performers has been announced for the upcoming K-pop Super Live concert for the World Scout Jamboree on Aug 11, 2023. ITZY’s Yuna, NEWJEANS’ Hyein, and actor Gong Myung have also revealed to be the new hosts for the event.
Both Yuna and Gong Myung have hosted events in the past, and this will be Hyein’s first time as an emcee.
The final lineup of artists set to perform at the K-pop Super Live concert are NEWJEANS, NCT DREAM, ITZY, MAMAMOO, THE BOYZ, MONSTA X sub-unit SHOWNU X HYUNGWON, FROMIS_9, ZEROBASEONE, P1HARMONY, KARD, THE NEW SIX (TNX), ATBO, XIKERS, LIBELANTE, Kang Daniel, Kwon Eun-Bi, Jo Yu-Ri and dance crew HOLYBANG.
The concert, which was originally scheduled for Aug 6, had been postponed to Aug 11 by World Scout Jamboree organisers. Considering the revised date, a new lineup of artists had also been expected. BTS members Jin and J-Hope were reportedly asked to perform as well, but that plan appears to have fallen through.
The World Scout Jamboree has been plagued by a series of problems since its start, which include an ongoing heatwave, poor sanitation, lack of food, an insect infestation and most recently, an incoming typhoon.
In addition, the revised concert date has caused issues for other music events, including the 2023 Jeonju Ultimate Music Festival (JUMF), and KBS Music Bank, which had to cancel their broadcast for the same date.
