IVE Joins K-Pop Super Live lineup for must-see concert

K-pop girl group IVE have been added to the revised lineup for the K-pop Super Live concert at the World Scout Jamboree which takes place today. This is the latest development in the chaotic music event, which will also be broadcast on KBS at 7pm KST.

IVE will share the stage with the previously-announced NEWJEANS, NCT DREAM, ITZY, MAMAMOO, THE BOYZ, MONSTA X sub-unit SHOWNU X HYUNGWON, FROMIS_9, ZEROBASEONE, P1HARMONY, KARD, THE NEW SIX (TNX), ATBO, XIKERS, LIBELANTE, Kang Daniel, Kwon Eun-Bi, Jo Yu-Ri and dance crew HOLYBANG.

The concert will be emceed by ITZY’s Yuna, NEWJEANS’ Hyein, and actor Gong Myung. This will be Hyein’s first event as an emcee.

The World Scout Jamboree has been plagued by a series of problems since its start, which include an ongoing heatwave, poor sanitation, lack of food, an insect infestation and most recently, an incoming typhoon. The 40,000 scouts participating in the event have since abandoned the original campsite, and have moved into accommodations that range from hotel rooms to church halls.

Organizers are said to be hoping that the K-pop Super Live concert will “make up” for the event’s shortcomings.
