K-pop girl group ITZY received their first music chart trophy for their song Cake at this week’s KBS Music Bank show. The Aug 11, 2023 episode was cancelled due to the K-pop Super Live concert, with their win announced online instead.
Cake is the lead single off the group’s 7th EP Kill My Doubt, and was released on July 31, 2023.
ITZY performed in the K-pop Super Live concert yesterday, which was the closing event for the 2023 World Scout Jamboree. Members Yuna, Chaeryeong, Yejin and Ryujin delivered a solid performance of their songs Cake and Wannabe, dressed in scout uniforms. Yuna also emceed the event, together with NEWJEANS‘ Hyein and actor Gong Myung.
Sadly, group mate Lia was unable to join the performance due to health reasons. Her fellow ITZY mates still managed to ‘include’ her in photographs taken during the evening, replacing her with a strawberry emoji.

ITZY holds the distinction of being the first K-pop girl group to win what is known as a “Rookie Grand Slam” in the industry.
