TWICE member Jihyo made her explosive debut as a solo performer, releasing her Zone mini-album and music video for Killin’ Me Good. This is marks a new stage of her career as a pop idol, with fans immediately praising the music video for showing off her skills as a performer.
Jihyo’s mini-album Zone features a total of seven tracks. These include lead single Killin’ Me Good and Don’t Wanna Go Back, a duet with singer Heize. Jihyo also has writing credits on six of the tracks, with Killin’ Me Good written for her by JYP head Park Jin-Young. Zone was also listed as one of the Grammy’s must-hear albums for August.
In the lead up to Zone‘s release, Jihyo had dropped music video teasers and concept photos. The photos show Jihyo in various looks and settings, ranging from a seductive temptress to a relaxed girl next door. Fans swooned over her amazing visuals in the images, which represent her versatility as an artist.
The Killin’ Me Good music video also shows various facets of Jihyo’s life. We see her casually relaxing at home, going on a date and hanging out with the girls. We also get to see her transform into a glamorous pop star while performing the song.
The catchy beat allows Jihyo to show off her powerful vocals. Not only that, her gorgeous visuals are used to full effect, as well as her tight dance skills.
The release of Zone makes Jihyo the second member of TWICE to debut as a solo artist. The album is available in both physical and digital format.
