KCON LA 2023 Day 2 Performance Highlights

KCON LA 2023 kicked off with a bang yesterday, and the excitement continued with more K-pop acts taking to the main stage today. We have already shared our highlights of KCON LA performances by CRAVITY, NMIXX, IVE, MONSTA X’s sub-unit SHOWNU X HYUNGWON, SHINee’s Taemin, NCT’s Taeyong and WayV. Now a new lineup of K-pop idols were set to entertain.

Among the artists performing on KCON LA Day 2 were ATEEZ, INI, KEP1ER, XG, XIKERS, ZEROBASEONE and Rain. Several acts were making their first appearance at the event, and fans were looking forward to seeing them.

Here are some of our favorite moments from the KCON LA Day 2 event:

1. ZEROBASEONE bloom onstage

Fans of ZEROBASEONE were thrilled to see the boys give their all during their first ever KCON LA appearance. The group performed their biggest songs, including In Bloom and New Kidz on the Block. They even danced to songs, including NEWJEANS’ Super Shy and STRAY KIDS’ S-Class. Members Sung Han-Bin, Seok Matthew and Kim Tae-Rae were also special emcees for the night.

2. XG and KEP1ER cover other K-pop artists

Girl groups XG and KEP1ER were in their element, and thrilled fans with performances on their biggest hit songs. However, we really enjoyed their covers of tracks by second-gen K-pop icons. XG started their set with a remix of 2NE1’s I Am The Best, and KEP1ER gave a wonderful rendition of GIRLS’ GENERATIONS Mr. Mr.

3. ATEEZ slaying us with their outfits and style

We thought that ATEEZ was hands-down the best dressed group of the night. Their perfectly matching black fabric-and-leather outfits looked stylish and imposing. One of our favorite moments was when they broke out some props during their performance of Wonderland.

4. XIKERS’ non-stop energy onstage

Rookie boy group XIKERS made their first ever KCON LA appearance, rocking the Day 2 stage with a high-energy set that left viewers breathless. The group gave their all during their set, thrilling their fans and earning themselves new ones with their showmanship and dance skills. They also covered BTS’ iconic Fire, delighting the audience.

5. INI Drop the beat at KCON LA

Japanese boyband INI also made an impact on the KCON LA audience. The group performed at the event last year, and made their return with a fiery set that included their latest hits, including Drop.

6. Rain doing what he does best

K-pop icon Rain was not just a performer, but also emceed KCON LA Day 2. There were concerns over his appearance at the event, with fans angered by his company Rain Entertainment’s treatment of now-disbanded boy group CIIPHER. However, Rain remained professional throughout, and even earned some cheers when he flashed his signature abs during his set.

Now that KCON LA 2023 has wrapped up its Day 2 event, we can’t wait to see to the final main stage performances tomorrow. Stay tuned for more updates!
