Singer-actress IU will be holding her highly-anticipated first ever fan concert at the KSPO Dome in Seoul next month, her agency said. The concert, titled I+UN1VER5E, will take place from Sept 23 to 24, 2023. The title reflects the special bond between IU and her fans, UAENAs. It symbolizes all the moments they have shared together, past, present, and future.
According to the agency, this unique event will blend the atmosphere of a fan meeting with a concert. The title UN1VER5E is meant to signify the 15 years between her debut to present day. It is also “a universe through which IU and her fans have been floating together.”
The event will allow IU to get close to her loyal UENAs, and feature music and intimate conversations about their past and future together.
IU’s long journey
IU (whose real name is Lee Ji-Eun) began her career in the entertainment industry at the age of 15. Her stage name is derived from “I” and “You,” symbolizing her desire to bring people together through her music.
IU’s musical prowess was evident from the start. She released her debut mini-album, Lost and Found, in 2008, featuring the hit single Lost Child.
