Netflix has released photos for the romantic mystery K-drama A Time Called You, starring Jeon Yeo-Been, Ahn Hyo-Seop and Kang Hoon. The highly-anticipated K-drama is an adaptation of the Taiwanese drama Someday or One Day. It permieres on Netflix on Sept 8, 2023.
A Time Called You unravels a captivating tale of a mysterious romance. The plot centers around Jun-hee (Jeon Yeo-Been), who is grappling with the loss of her boyfriend Yeon-Jun (Ahn Hyo-Seop).
One day, Jun-hee plays a mysterious cassette tape that transports her to 1998. She wakes up in the body of a high school girl named Min-Ju. She then meets a young man named Si-heon who looks exactly like Yeon-Jun. It appears that Jun-hee’s desperate wish to see him one last time has somewhat come true.
However, there is an unknown factor in the form of In-Gyu (Kang Hoon). In-Gyu is their classmate and friend, but he is also in love with Min-Ju. He begins to feel jealous of Si-Heon’s attention towards her.
The newly-released photos show the characters during their school days. There is a sense of innocence and nostalgia in the images, which will make their eventual falling out all the more heartbreaking.
As the release date of A Time Called You approaches, the three stars of the time travel romance urged the audience to look forward to the series. They also spoke about how much they enjoyed filming it.
“We all loved the script and enjoyed filming it. I’m sure you will find it just as captivating,” said Ahn Hyo-Seop, expressing his confidence about the series.
“We will soon bring a very endearing and wonderful series that will be worth the wait, so please stay tuned,” said Jeon Yeo-Been.
Kang Hoon also shared his love for the series, saying: “From spring to winter, we worked very hard and had a great time filming this series. Your love for A Time Called You, Jung In-gyu, and me as an actor would mean the world to me.”
