Jungkook breaks new Spotify record with Seven, even beating BTS

BTS member Jungkook continues the global momentum of Seven, becoming the fastest male artist to reach 500 million streams on Spotify. This new record also makes Seven the second fastest song to reach 500 million streams overall on the platform, after Flowers by Miley Cyrus.

Seven is also the fastest song by an Asian act to reach 500 million Spotify streams, taking just 43 days. This beats the record previously held by Jungkook’s group BTS, when its song Butter reached 500 million streams in 90 days.

Seven also became the third most-streamed song for summer on Spotify, according to the platform. At #1 was Ella Baila Sola by Eslabon Armado and Peso Pluma, while #2 was Where She Goes by Bad Bunny. However, Seven‘s placement on the chart is still impressive, considering the fact that both the top songs were released earlier this year.

This latest chart achievement comes on the heels of Seven racking up its fifth consecutive week at #1 on the Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts. Here, Jungkook smashes another BTS record, with Seven beating Dynamite‘s record of four consecutive weeks at #1 on the Global 200 chart.

Jungkook on top with Seven, Calvin Klein

All these latest chart achievements have cemented Jungkook’s position as one of the most successful K-pop male solo artists. With the latest news of each achievement, fans have flooded social media to congratulate him. Many feel that it is only a matter of time before the track breaks even more records, and that it is a serious contender for Song of the Year.

The singer’s latest successes go beyond the music charts. Jungkook is also one of the faces of the Calvin Klein Fall campaign, alongside Jennie of BLACKPINK, Kendall Jenner, Kid Cudi and Alexa Demie.

The campaign, shot by fashion photographers Inez & Vinoodh, sees the celebrities rocking selected pieces from the brand’s Fall 2023 jeans and underwear collections. Jungkook wears a classic denim-on-denim outfit, with a pair of Calvin Klein underwear peeking out from his pants.

We want to congratulate Jungkook on his latest success, and look forward to seeing what the future holds!
