IU Golden Hour concert film premieres worldwide in September

Singer-actress IU will grace silver screens worldwide in IU Concert: The Golden Hour. The film is the live recording of her 2022 performance in Seoul. It will open in 85 cities across 38 countries, in a special two-night screening to coincide with her 15th debut anniversary.

This film captures the magic of IU’s 2022 The Golden Hour concert. The two-day event took place at Seoul’s iconic Olympic Main Stadium in September 2022 . Notably, IU became the first female Korean singer to grace this venue, drawing in over 40,000 fans each day.

A film for IU fans across the world

IU Concert: The Golden Hour concert film will be shown on standard and IMAX screens. It premieres in Korea on Sept 13, 2023, with international screenings on Sept 28 and 30.

The concert film reportedly has a runtime of 2 hours and 50 minutes, and tickets go on sale Sept 6 at 8AM KST. Fans can purchase tickets to screenings in their respective countries online at iuconcertthegoldenhour.com.

IU announced the concert film to her global UENA fanbase through her social media. She also promised that she would see her fans “in person next time”.

IU and the UN1VER5E

IU will also be holding her first ever fan concert at the KSPO Dome in Seoul from Sept 23 to 24. The concert, titled I+UN1VER5E, will blend the atmosphere of a fan meeting with a concert.

The event will allow IU to get close to her loyal UENAs, and feature music and intimate conversations about their past and future together.

IU (whose real name is Lee Ji-Eun) began her career in the entertainment industry at age 15. She is known as a versatile singer, covering a wide range of genres, and a gifted songwriter. She has also had a prolific acting career, with roles in dramas like Scarlet Heart Ryeo and Hotel Del Luna.
