BTS member V has dropped the final set of concept photos for his upcoming debut album Layover, which will be released on Sept 8, 2023. The mostly black-and-white photos show V, also known as Kim Taehyung, spending a day at the beach.
The star can be seen frolicking in the ocean and relaxing on the shore. In several other shots, he is dressed in a t-shirt and distressed jeans, relaxing against a wall. The latest concept photos offer a new insight into his vision for Layover, which has several contrasting themes.
His third set of concept photos, released on Aug 29, showcased a rock star vibe for his music video Blue. The music video is scheduled to be released on Sept 13.
Layover out on Sept 8
V is the final member of BTS to announce his solo album. Layover will contain six songs, including one bonus track. Love Me Again and Rainy Days were both released earlier this month. The highly-anticipated tracks broke various streaming records all over the world, and rose to the top of global music charts.
V has also been enjoying his moment in the spotlight. On Aug 24, 2023, he took home his first music award for Love Me Again, on Mnet’s M Countdown. And on Aug 25, he was one of the artists to perform on the first Tiny Desk concert in Korea. He will also reunite with fellow BTS member Suga on the latter’s talk show, Suchwita on Sept 11.
V’s promotion schedule for Layover will also include appearances on variety shows, such as Running Man. The episode where he participates as a special guest will air on Sept 10.
Layover will be released on Sept 8 at 1PM KST, together with the music video for lead track Slow Dancing.
