In a live broadcast on Weverse on Sept 17, 2023, BTS member Suga shared his thoughts ahead of his military enlistment on Sept 22. He will be the third member of BTS to enlist, following in the footsteps of group mates Jin and J-Hope.
During the broadcast, Suga said: “I came to report my survival. Although I haven’t seen it to the public, I am living a very busy life.” He added that he had completed “various filming and schedules.”
Suga also showed off his latest haircut in preparation for his enlistment. He told fans” “It’s been a long time since I had hair this short. I had long hair for about two years.”
The change in his appearance also surprised BigHit Music staff members. Suga joked BTS staff “didn’t recognize me (when I cut my hair).”
Suga also reported on his current health status. He explained that while he was feeling well now, he experienced fatigue following his Suga Agust D concert tour in early August. He said: “I was sick for two weeks after the [final] performance. I really just rested.”
He reflected: “I felt depressed because I felt like Chapter 1 had ended after 10 years of activity.”
