Strong Girl Nam-Soon Character Posters and Cast

JTBC has pulled back the curtain on individual character posters for its much-anticipated K-drama, Strong Girl Nam-Soon, slated for an Oct 7 premiere. This gripping narrative delves into a multi-generational family, each member gifted with extraordinary strength, as they unite to tackle a persistent drug crime issue in Gangnam.

The ensemble cast boasts talents like Lee Yoo-Mi, Kim Jung-Eun, Kim Hae-Sook, Ong Seong-Wu, and Byun Woo-Seok. Lee Yoo-Mi steps into the shoes of Kang Nam-Soon. She is the dynamic and quirky 6th cousin to Do Bong-Soon, both blessed with incredible power. Nam-Soon embarks on a journey to Mongolia to discover her roots.

Kim Jung-Eun embodies Hwang Geum-Joo, a prosperous Gangnam tycoon and justice-driven mother. Kim Hae-Sook portrays Gil Jung-Gan, the awe-inspiring matriarch of Kang Nam-Soon’s family and a venerated figure in their community.

Ong Seong-Wu plays Kang Hee-Sik, a young and ethically sound investigator at the Gangnam Han River District Police Department. Byun Woo-Seok rounds out the cast as Ryu-Shio, the nefarious CEO of Doogo, a distribution and sales company.

A family of heroines

Strong Girl Nam-Soon serves as a sequel to the 2017 sensation Strong Woman Do Bong-Soon, a series that blends fantasy, action, and romance. The original show featured Park Bo-Young as South Korea’s inaugural female superhero, inheriting her powers from her maternal lineage.

The sequel amps up the action and romance, with Lee Yoo-Mi joined by two other formidable women: her mother Hwang Geum-Joo and grandmother Gil Joong-Gan. Set to air every Saturday and Sunday at 10:30 PM KST on JTBC, Strong Girl Nam-Soon is a must-watch for fans of action-packed, romantic K-dramas.
