NEWJEANS’ latest single has managed to unit both League of Legends players and Bunnies, as praise flowed in for both the song and its cinematic music video. The music video for NEWJEANS’ GODS takes fans on a captivating visual journey, chronicling the rise of Korean pro player Kim “Deft” Hyuk-Kyu. At the time of writing, GODS has over 7.1 million views on YouTube since its release. This makes it set to become the most viewed League of Legends music video in a single day.
The premiere of GODS took place in Seoul at LoL PARK arena. Deft himself watched the music video along with 400 League of Legends fans. Deft appeared to be overwhelmed by the experience, watching the key highlights of his career play out onscreen. He later praised NEWJEANS for their performance, saying: “Thank you for making such a great song.”
He added that he was looking forward to seeing the group at the 2023 League of Legends World Championship. Riot Games confirmed that the NEWJEANS will perform GODS at the finale of the E-sports season.
Bunnies love NEWJEANS’ new GODS sound
GODS surprised NEWJEANS fans with its unique sound that showed the girls’ vocals in a new light. The highly-synthesized production of the track amplified the members’ strong voices, proving that they can handle powerful, anthemic songs. Many fans praised the group for showing their range, as GODS is different from their signature music.

They praised the cameos by other renowned League gamers, as well as the music video’s subplots. This included the friends-to-enemies story between Deft and one-time teammate Keria.
