The 2023 MTV EMAs, set to be held in Paris, is generating buzz with the announcement that Jungkook, a member of the iconic K-pop supergroup BTS, will be one of the presenters at the ceremony. Fresh off the success of his Billboard Hot 100 number one single Seven (feat. Latto) and his latest his 3D (feat. Jack Harlow), fans can also look forward to a show-stopping performance from the global superstar.
K-pop makes a splash at 2023 MTV EMAs
Jungkook is also one of the leading K-pop acts in terms of MTV EMA nominations. Besides making his EMA debut as a solo artist, Jungkook is contending for three awards: Best Song for Seven, Biggest Fans, and the Best K-Pop category.
Boy group TXT has also garnered three nominations; for Best Group, Best Push Artist, and Best K-pop. Hot on their heels are NEWJEANS and SEVENTEEN, each securing two nominations. Both groups are in the running for Best Group and Best K-Pop, intensifying the competition.
Adding to the K-pop representation at the 2023 MTV EMAs, AESPA has been nominated for Best Group, while BLACKPINK is in the hunt for the Biggest Fans award. FIFTY FIFTY, NEWJEANS, and STRAY KIDS are also nominated for the Best K-pop category, setting the stage for a fierce battle for the coveted title.
A star-studded affair
The MTV EMAs promise a night of unforgettable performances with a line-up of global artists, including Jungkook. Anne-Marie, fresh from her third album release, is set to grace the stage with her latest hits. Coi Leray is gearing up for her inaugural MTV EMA performance, while the trailblazing DJ and six-time EMA winner, David Guetta, returns to his hometown of Paris for another electrifying act.
Other notable performers include Manuel Turizo, Ozuna, Rema, Reneé Rapp, Sabrina Carpenter, Thirty Seconds To Mars, and The Kid LAROI. The event will also feature special appearances from former Little Mix member Leigh-Anne, renowned actresses Lily Collins and Ashley Park, and many more.

The 2023 MTV EMAs will take place on Sunday, November 5 (November 6 in Asia) at the Paris Nord Villepinte. Fans across more than 150 countries can tune in to MTV to catch the live event. For those in Southeast Asia, updates will be available on @MTVAsia and @MTVEMA social media channels. Additionally, the show will be streamed live on Pluto TV and will be available on-demand on Paramount+.
