On November 3 KST, Jungkook, of the globally renowned group BTS, introduced his debut solo album titled GOLDEN.
This GOLDEN album encapsulates Jungkook’s unique musical essence, emotional depth, and personal narrative.
The Golden Maknae Narrative
Often referred to as the ‘Golden Maknae’ by his global fanbase since his initial days with BTS due to his remarkable talents, Jungkook has intricately woven his life experiences into GOLDEN, garnering significant attention.
GOLDEN boasts a collection of 11 songs. The spotlight shines on the main track Standing Next To You, accompanied by previously unveiled singles Seven (Feat. Latto) available in both explicit and clean versions, and 3D (Feat. Jack Harlow).
The album is further enriched with new songs such as Closer To You (Feat. Major Lazer), Yes or No, Please Don’t Change (Feat. DJ Snake), Hate You, Somebody, Too Sad To Dance, and Shot Glass of Tears.
Music Video Release
The visual treat that is the MV for Jungkook’s Standing Next To You has already garnered praise and over 1.7 million views on YouTube an hour after release.
The MV is directed by Tanu Muino, a Ukrainian music video director and designer, who has a diverse filmography that includes music videos for globally successful artists such as Harry Styles, Cardi B, Post Malone, Sam Smith, Doja Cat and Lil Nas X. She has also directed for luxury brands such as Dior and Netflix’s The Home of True Crime.
