BTS member Jungkook has won big at the 2023 MTV EMAs, earning the coveted Best K-pop and Best Song titles. This marks Jungkook’s first wins at the MTV EMAs as a solo artist. Aside from Jungkook, fellow K-pop act TXT (TOMORROW X TOGETHER) also took home the award for Best Push Artist. Both acts were also leading the leading K-pop nominees for the awards.
The 2023 MTV EMAs were supposed to take place in Paris, France on November 6, 2023 KST. However, the live broadcast event was cancelled last month due to security concerns. Music fans around the world were still able to vote for their favorite acts online.
Before the cancellation, Jungkook was announced as one of the presenters for the 2023 MTV EMAs. He was also set to perform live onstage. Fans speculated that his performance would have included new music from his debut solo album GOLDEN.
Jungkook releases new remix album
Jungkook has been enjoying a wave of success recently with GOLDEN. The 11-track album, which dropped on November 3, features hits such as Seven (feat. Latto) and 3D (feat. Jack Harlow. The third single from the album, the title track Standing Next To You, was released last week and has been tearing up music charts worldwide.
The single is also getting its very own remix album, which will be released today at 2PM KST. The upcoming album, titled Standing Next to You: The Remixes, will feature a variety of reimagined versions of the song.
This special remix album will not only include the original rendition of the track but also instrumental and band versions, alongside a Slow Jam Remix, PBR&B Remix, Latin Trap Remix, Holiday Remix, and Future Funk Remix.
On November 5, Jungkook performed Standing Next To You for iHeartRadio’s Live show. A video of his performance was released on BTS’ official YouTube account. Fans can also watch Jungkook’s full iHeartRadio performance on November 11 in Meta Horizon Worlds.
