The music world is mourning the loss of Lim Nahee, known professionally as Nahee, who passed away on November 8 at the age of 24. Nahee’s sudden passing has shocked fans, particularly as she was active on social media just days before.
Nahee’s Instagram, updated with cheerful images of her dog and a selfie, now serves as a poignant reminder of her vibrant presence. Reports indicate that the central funeral hall in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi-do, is arranging her funeral. The ceremony is scheduled to take place on November 10.
Renowned in the indie music scene of South Korea, Nahee debuted in 2019 with the single Blue City. Though brief, her career featured heartfelt singles like Blue Night and Gloomy Day. After signing with Mun Hwa In on September 2020, she continued to enrich the music world as a singer-songwriter and producer, with H! and Rose being among her latest works. In her four-year career, she accumulated 15 songwriting and composing credits with the Korea Music Copyright Association (KOMCA).
The cause of Nahee’s passing remains undisclosed, and her agency has yet to release a statement regarding this tragic event. Her passing leaves a void in the music industry, where her talent and passion had begun to make an impact. May she rest in peace.
