FIFTY FIFTY member Keena is set to make a significant stride in her career. The singer is preparing to attend the 2023 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas this weekend to represent FIFTY FIFTY. The group earned nominations in two categories: Top Duo/Group and Top Global K-pop Song. A recent report indicated that she will fly to the United States on November 16.
Keena was confirmed to attend the prestigious award late last month. Fans see this as a significant development, not just for her but for the future of the group as well.
Keena will also participate in a private party in Las Vegas on November 18. She will network with global music officials, potentially opening doors for future collaborations and projects.
A new era for FIFTY FIFTY?
The anticipation for FIFTY FIFTY’s appearance at the 2023 Billboard Music Awards is high. The journey of FIFTY FIFTY’s single Cupid from their debut album The Beginning: Cupid has been nothing short of remarkable. Within just 130 days of its release on February 24, the track broke into the ‘Billboard Hot 100’ at the 100th spot, setting a record for the fastest K-pop idol group to enter the chart.
The song’s success didn’t stop there; it climbed to the 17th position and maintained a presence on the chart for 25 weeks, the longest for any K-pop girl group to date.
An earlier report stated that Attrakt would be adding three new members to FIFTY FIFTY, with Keena being the only founding member remaining. Keena recently made headlines for returning to Attrakt, after she and other FIFTY FIFTY members engaged in a lengthy court battle with the company. Attrakt terminated the exclusive contracts of previous FIFTY FIFTY members Aran, Sio and Saena last month.
