The K-pop world is abuzz with news that LE SSERAFIM member Kazuha was seen on a date with a popular Japanese idol. Japanese tabloid Shukan Bunshun broke the news with a report detailing the “intimate” date, which took place in March.
According to the report, Kazuha was spotted at a high-end yakiniku restaurant in Japan after a recent offline event. The artist was dressed casually in a cap, black leather jacket and jeans, presumably to hide her identity.
The tabloid said that she dined with a male idol, later identified as &TEAM member K. They described K as being “6 years her senior and 186cm tall”.
According to Shukan Bunshun, the two artists dined together for 2 hours, before leaving the restaurant together. Further reports stated that the two had been secretly dating since 2022.
Fan reactions to the dating rumors
The report did stir up discussions among the fans, but many appeared to take it with a grain of salt. Instead, fans began praising Kazuha’s outfit in the photographs released by the tabloid. Many said that the casual chic style suited her well.
Strangely, this is not the first time Shukan Bunshun has reported dating rumors between a member of LE SSERAFIM and a Japanese idols.
In 2023, the tabloid published a report claiming that Chaewon was dating a former rapper. They published a photo that showed the rapper and Chaewon posing together. However, the photo was later revealed to be an edited image. The rapper later admitted that he was the one who edited the photo, as he is a huge fan of Chaewon.
HYBE denies Kazuha and K are dating
While neither Kazuha nor K have addressed the situation, HYBE has since released a statement debunking the dating rumors.
In a statement released today, HYBE said that “the dating rumors, specifically those involving Kazuha and K, are unfounded.” While HYBE admitted that the two did meet up for dinner, it insisted that they met “as friends”.
Hopefully this signals an end to the matter, and puts all speculation to rest!
