Crime drama Crash set to hit Disney+ Hotstar on May 13

Get ready to witness the underdog story of the year! Disney+ Hotstar is gearing up to premiere a brand new K-drama titled Crash on May 13, 2024 and it’s not your typical police procedural. This series takes viewers into the world of the Traffic Crime Investigation (TCI) unit, a sub-section of the force constantly disregarded and ridiculed by their colleagues.

Ignored and considered a joke by the rest of the department, the TCI team operates in the shadows, their work often going unnoticed and unappreciated. But everything changes with the arrival of Cha Yeon-Ho (played by Lee Min-Ki), a brilliant mathematician with a unique talent.

Yeon-Ho’s exceptional abilities allow him to analyze accident scenes and meticulously simulate the exact cause using only facts and figures. His arrival injects a much-needed boost of credibility and competence into the ostracized team.

However, Yeon-Ho’s exceptional skills come with a dark secret. A past incident threatens to resurface, jeopardizing not only his reputation but also the reputation of the TCI unit. Can they overcome the challenges and past traumas, or will their struggles send them crashing back into obscurity?

Chae-Man’s character adds an intriguing layer to the story, as his motivations and loyalties remain veiled.

Director Park Jun-Woo (Taxi Driver, Doctor Detective) Crash promises a thrilling ride filled with suspense and complex characters. With a talented cast and a captivating premise, Crash seems poised to redefine the crime drama genre.
