Kang Daniel’s Konnect Entertainment Faces Closure

According to multiple industry insiders, Konnect Entertainment, founded by singer Kang Daniel, is on the verge of closing its doors. On May 20 KST, reports confirmed that all agency employees have either been laid off or resigned.

Affiliated artists are also leaving to pursue their own paths. The remaining shareholders have decided to part ways with all the affiliated artists amidst ongoing legal disputes involving Kang Daniel.

Kang Daniel’s Next Move

Kang Daniel himself has only a short time left on his contract. Once it expires next month, he plans to exit the company gracefully, rather than continue his solo activities under a one-man agency. This decision indicates that Konnect Entertainment will naturally proceed towards closure.

Reports reveal that around 20 employees of Konnect Entertainment have been laid off or resigned. The company’s corporate vehicle was disposed of some time ago, and the agency’s office in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, was cleaned out earlier this year.

Kang Daniel founded Konnect Entertainment in June 2019 as his personal agency. Initially a one-man agency, it later recruited artists such as Chancellor, former GFriend member Yuju, and the dance crew WE DEM BOYZ.
