NEWJEANS’ How Sweet Sets 2024 Streaming Record on Melon

Just a little over an hour after their comeback release, girl group NEWJEANS has set a new streaming record. Amid internal conflict between their management label ADOR and its parent company HYBE Labels,

NEWJEANS released their double single How Sweet on May 24 at 1 PM KST / 12 AM EST. Within the first hour, the double single attracted 37,069 unique listeners on the Korean music streaming platform Melon, the highest number by any music release in 2024.

How Sweet and Bubble Gum Make Waves

NEWJEANS’ main title track How Sweet debuted on Melon’s Top 100 chart at #7 as of 2 PM KST. The second title track Bubble Gum also made an impressive entry, coming in at #14.

The strong debut of both tracks highlights the group’s continued popularity and the anticipation surrounding their new music.

How Sweet MV Premieres on May 24

The music video for NEWJEANS’ How Sweet will be revealed on May 24 at 4 PM KST / 3 AM EST. In the MV, NEWJEANS encounter an unexpected accident and take over the road to reach an unknown destination.

How Sweet is the title song of the group’s second single album, featuring Bubble Gum as the pre-release track.

Despite the war between ADOR and HYBE, it looks like NEWJEANS is not skipping a beat and continues to rack up success.
