(G)I-DLE member Soyeon will be taking a break from promotions due to health concerns, as announced by Cube Entertainment on June 1 KST. The label shared:
“Hello, this is Cube Entertainment.
We notify you regarding (G)I-DLE member Soyeon’s absence at upcoming schedules. Recently, Soyeon experienced a deterioration of health and visited the hospital. She was advised adequate rest to aid her recovery. As a result, Soyeon will not be able to attend the YIZHIYU & (G)I-DLE offline fan sign event scheduled for June 1.
The label has decided that Soyeon will halt all activities for the time being so that she can focus on rest and recovery. As the decision was reached with the artist’s health in mind, we ask fans for your understanding. We apologize to the fans for causing concerns with this sudden news, and we will do our best to restore the artist’s health condition. Thank you.”
NCT Loses Millions of Social Media Followers Due to Starbucks Collaboration
NCT has lost millions of social media followers amid their collaboration with Starbucks. In May, Starbucks and SM Entertainment announced an exclusive line of merchandise featuring NCT.
However, international fans and netizens reacted negatively due to the ongoing boycott of Starbucks over its alleged support of Israeli companies amid the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. This led to a boycott of the collaboration, resulting in significant follower losses for NCT’s social media accounts.
Over the last month, NCT’s Instagram account lost 674,370 followers, with substantial losses for NCT 127, NCT Dream, and WayV. Fans have also sent protest trucks to Starbucks, demanding the cancellation of the collaboration.
NEWJEANS Thanks Min Hee-Jin During Music Bank Winning Speech
On the May 31st episode of Music Bank, NEWJEANS secured the #1 spot with How Sweet. During their acceptance speech, Minji thanked their fans, Bunnies, and thanked ADOR CEO Min Hee-Jin, stylists, and management.

Woo!ah! Announces Comeback with Their 2nd Mini-Album UNFRAMED
Woo!ah! has confirmed their comeback date with the release of their second mini-album, UNFRAMED, on June 17. This marks the girl group’s second mini-album, following their debut album JOY in June 2022. Woo!ah!
The digital single BLUSH was previously released in April and is now returning with new music just two months later. The album features collaborations with renowned composers and choreographers, raising expectations for their upcoming performances.
STAYC Drops Sassy Teaser Image for Comeback
Girl group STAYC has officially begun the countdown to their July comeback. On June 1 KST, STAYC revealed a sassy, black-and-white group teaser image with their signature phrase, “STAYC girls it’s going down.”
High Up Entertainment confirmed that STAYC would be making a comeback in early July, marking their return since TEENFRESH in August last year.
