Sweet Home Season 3 Episode 2 Recap and Review

The second episode of Sweet Home Season 3 kicks off with Yi-Kyung waking up to find her missing eye miraculously restored. However, she notices that cutting her arm doesn’t trigger the healing process anymore.

Eun-yu explains that Hyun-Su has made her human again, but he remains in a deep sleep. Grateful for her restored humanity, Yi-Kyung prepares to pursue her daughter, who distrusts humans and continues to turn them into monsters. Determined to stop her, Yi-Kyung heads back to the stadium, with Eun-Yu staying behind to watch over Hyun-Su while worrying about her brother.

Confrontations and Alliances

Outside, Ho-Sung is unconscious, causing concern for Chan-Young and offence for Ha-Ni. A flashback reveals that Ho-Sung saved Ha-Ni by killing her monster parents. When Ho-Sung wakes up, he expresses frustration over Ha-Ni associating with monster sympathizers.

Furious, Ha-Ni cuffs him to a trailer, declaring that monsters can be saved, which means their past killings were unjustified. Despite her anger, Chan-Young comforts her, believing Ho-Sung will eventually come around.

Meanwhile, the Bamseom MHs and Lim commandeer one of Kim’s cars to head to the stadium. Sang-won shares with Lim that he has a child and has left his mark allowing him to feel his child’s presence.

As Yi-Kyung’s daughter enters the stadium, Sang-Won’s face and her arm blacken. Inside, they encounter a human named Cheol-Jong, who notes that monsters don’t harm cocoons and becomes wary of Sang-Won’s monster arm.

Tensions in the Stadium

At the stadium, Tak’s men rescue Ye-Seul from the basement and tie up Chief Ji. A flashback reveals Ji’s son Hyeon-U showing symptoms of infection, leading her to lock him in the basement.

Tak argues there’s no cure and confesses he killed his own infected son. When Tak threatens Hyeon-U, Ji attempts suicide, but Ye-seul intervenes, refusing to let her take the coward’s way out.

Yi-Kyung daughter blends with the stadium survivors, observing Yeong-Su being bullied. She attempts to turn him, but Ye-Seul intervenes, bringing them to Jin-Ok, who reluctantly cares for Yeong-Su.

As Lim and the Bamseom MHs arrive, Sang-Won breaks in, taking down soldiers and demanding his child. Chi-Seong declares those with symptoms are blessed, on their way to becoming neo-humans.

Flashbacks and Revelations

Lim finds Seok-Chan and Kim injured, declaring only one can be saved. Seok-Chan gives Kim Ji-Na’s medicine, urging him to save others in Bamseom. Lim sets up a transfusion from Seok-Chan to Kim, who later wakes to find Seok-Chan near death.

Lim reveals his purpose: to share a special medicine that turns infectees into MH with Tak, though retrieval is challenging.

Emotional Struggles and Awakenings

Ha-Ni’s addiction to special leaves leads to a terrifying encounter with Ho-Sung, who has transformed into a monster. Desperate to save him, she seeks help from Hyun-Su, triggering a violent reaction from his monstrous alter ego. As the situation escalates, a deadly confrontation ensues, leaving the group’s survival hanging by a thread.
