Episode 5 of Sweet Home Season 3 opens with a shocking revelation as Sang-Won discovers that Yi-Kyung has miraculously reverted to human form, contradicting Yi-Su’s previous claims. Ignoring this perplexing development, Sang-Won makes a desperate attempt to possess Yi-Su’s body but is thwarted by her loud cries. Frustrated, he imprisons her in a shed.
Collision and Conflict
Meanwhile, Jae-Jin, overconfident in his abilities, confronts the monstrous Hyun-Su. His taunts only serve to enrage the creature, leading to a brutal confrontation. Just as the situation escalates, Kim and Eun-Hyuk arrive, their car colliding with the struggling pair.
Kim takes the opportunity to avenge his fallen comrades by attacking Jae-Jin, while Eun-Hyuk reunites, albeit under hostile circumstances, with the trapped Hyun-Su.
As the chaos unfolds, Chan-Young intervenes to save Kim from Jae-Jin’s fiery wrath. With Hyun-Su trapped inside a burning bus … Kim attempts to rescue Eun-yu but is forced to leave with Chan-Young and Ha-Ni when she refuses to go.
Inside the burning bus, Eun-Hyuk and Hyun-Su engage in a tense standoff. Eun-Hyuk’s provocation pushes Hyun-Su to create an escape route, allowing him to flee the burning vehicle. Reunited with Eun-yu, Eun-Hyuk’s cold demeanour and revelation of their non-blood relation shatter her hopes for a happy reunion.
Sang-Won’s Deadly Determination
Back at the stadium, Sang-Won’s plan to switch bodies with his daughter hits a roadblock. Realizing he must be near death for the process to work, he devises a sinister plan. As tensions rise and the infected Gi-Chun begins to show symptoms, Yeong-Su, alerted to Yi-Su’s captivity, sets out to rescue her.
Amidst the growing chaos, Father Peter searches for the deteriorating Seon-Hwa while Chan-Young, Kim, and Ha-Ni keep a watchful eye on Jae-Jin. A dangerous plot unfolds as Lim orders Tak to subdue a girl, leading to a violent confrontation and the discovery of a substance capable of transforming infected individuals into powerful monsters.
Seizing an opportunity, Yeong-Su frees Yi-Su from captivity and pledges his loyalty. Recognizing his desire to become a monster, Yi-Su grants his wish, transforming him into a terrifying creature. However, their reunion is cut short by the appearance of Cheol-Jong.
A New Beginning
Desperate to regain control, Sang-Won manipulates the survivors, claiming that Yi-Su possesses the power to save them. As the crowd disperses, the Crow Platoon vows to protect Tak, while Ye-Seul and Jin-Ok embark on a mission to find Yeong-Su.
The episode concludes with a cliffhanger as Eun-Hyuk, growing impatient, decides to abandon the group. Eun-Yu’s plea for him to stay is interrupted by Hyun-Su’s escape, setting the stage for even more dramatic confrontations and shocking transformations.
