Sweet Home Season 3 Episode 7 Recap and Review

The seventh episode of Sweet Home Season 3 opens with Chi-Seong urging Jae-Jin to flee as Sang-Won had ordered his death. Jae-Jin warns that Sang-Won will discard Chi-Seong once he’s no longer useful.

In a fit of rage, Jae-Jin destroys the generator, plunging the area into darkness. The Crow Platoon seizes the opportunity to execute their escape plan, with Jae-Jin blending in by pretending to be human.

The Bonfire Ritual

With no one to oppose them, Sang-Won and Chi-Seong bring Lim and Yi-Su to the bonfire. Despite Lim’s attempts to connect with Yi-Su, Sang-Won retrieves the vial from Lim’s stomach and destroys it, subsequently pushing Lim into the fire. True to Jae-Jin’s prediction, Sang-Won kills Chi-Seong once his usefulness ends. Sang-Won then walks into the fire, possessing Yi-Su.

Hyun-Su and Eun-Hyuk’s Arrival

Eun-Hyuk and Hyun-Su reach the abandoned stadium and split up. Sang-Won, now in Yi-Su’s body, confronts Hyun-Su, who inquires about Yi-Kyung. Sang-Won lures Hyun-Su to follow him. Meanwhile, Monster Yeong-Su recognizes Eun-Hyuk and guides him to Sang-Won.

The humans approach the final exit point. Kim gives Ji-Na her medicine, encouraging her to endure like Choi Yong-Seok did. Peter realizes Seon-Hwa is missing and rushes back to find her.

Tak’s Sacrifice

At the exit, Tak fully monsterizes and heads back to the stadium, spotting Jae-Jin behind Ha-Ni. Mistaking Tak’s intentions, Kim pushes him away from the humans. Tak then detonates, with a flashback showing their agreement for Tak to self-detonate upon monsterizing. In the present, Kim tearfully watches the explosion, and Tak transforms into a static frost monster.

Sang-Won leads Hyun-Su to the bonfire, mocking him for asking about Yi-Kyung. He uses his catchphrase, revealing his possession of Yi-Su. Inside her mind, Sang-Won mentally attacks Hyun-Su before introducing himself.

Eun-Hyuk’s Intervention

Eun-Hyuk arrives and stabs Yi-Su’s body, breaking the mental torture. Hyun-Su stops him from killing Sang-Won, believing Yi-Su can be saved. Sang-Won laughs, revealing he’s not alone as Yi-Su’s minions arrive and attack, ending the episode on a tense note.
