Yul-Hee, the former LABOUM member, has taken a significant step in her ongoing legal battle with ex-husband Choi Min-Hwan of FTIsland. The singer-turned-influencer has filed a mediation application to modify the existing custody arrangement, alimony, and property division terms.
Why the Custody Battle?
Yul-Hee’s legal representative, Lawyer Yang So-Young, revealed the reasons behind the custody dispute. In a recent video, the lawyer explained that Yul-Hee has always been the primary caregiver for their three children. Despite the initial custody arrangement, Yul-Hee believes she is the best person to continue raising her children.
A Complex Legal Matter
The couple’s divorce, finalized in December 2022, has been marred by controversy. Last month, Yul-Hee publicly accused Choi Min-Hwan of sexual harassment, leading to his withdrawal from various TV programs and a hiatus from FTIsland activities.
